aishwaryarai21 When Miss World 1994 Aishwarya Rai was honored with the “Beauty With A Purpose” Lifetime Achievement Award during the finals of Miss World 2014 last Sunday, it immediately brought back a flood of memories about her rise to fame more than twenty years ago and a continuous popularity in her native India and other countries.

Two Miss Worlds. One frame. Megan and Ash

It’s like Ash is the most iconic representation of the beauty title that gathers the most number of delegates in any international beauty competition. And I reckon it most apt that the honor bestowed by MWO Head Julia Morley came at a time when the reigning winner was still Miss World 2013 Megan Young who many people are saying as the best Miss World ever. It’s like the meeting of the two most popular and purposeful winners of the same.

Other than Beauty With A Purpose, Ash represents Beauty With Substance – a woman who may have become a worldwide celebrity but has been tagged by people around her as the “Proper Diva”. She knows her stature, but has kept a level-headed disposition ever since. In fact, she has never gone beyond the parameters of acting up in any commitment she has agreed to fulfill. A true beauty, inside and out. :-)
