In roughly around 24 hours or so from the time this post goes live, Miss World 2013 Megan Young will do her farewell walk before crowning the delegate who will take over the reins of continuing the purposeful duties and responsibilities of being the World’s Most Beautiful.

But before anything else, let us all reminisce and look back at Megan’s winning moment in Bali last September 28, 2013 when she gifted the Philippines with its first Miss World crown and where she made a heartfelt commitment to be the best Miss World ever in the eyes of everyone.

When Miss World 2013 started her reign, it unreeled like a summer tentpole movie that had all the makings of a blockbuster flick. There was excitement (travelling to so many countries for the first time), suspense (the collapse of the orphanage in Haiti that led to the serious accident of MWO Chair Julia Morley), drama (getting emotional with sick kids during various hospital visits), tragedy (the devastating Supertyphoon Haiyan that left many people in the Philippines homeless) and with healthy box-office receipts (raising millions of money all for charity) to boot.

Mirror, mirror on Miss World, who's the most deserving of them all?

Day by day, week after week, month after month, Megan slowly transformed into a new person, a better one if you will. She has taken in all the demands and hardwork that come with the responsibility and gave back in the form of unconditional service and love for all the beneficiaries of the organization. She paid forward so many times that she may have already lost count of all the good deeds she so willingly performed.

A positively changed young woman in more good deeds than one, our Queen Megan is.

Armed with a good heart and a battalion of supporters from around the globe, she blossomed into an icon of beauty and hope – one whose collective efforts are making it hard for the next Miss World to follow, approximate and surpass.

So just how will she be able to top the peak of her life’s achievements as Miss World 2013? It won’t be easy, but she can start with the 2-year extension of her contract with MWO, during which time she can also foray into other options like a resumption of her stalled showbiz career in the Philippines, signing up for possible international movie appearances or taking on the more global role of a cause-oriented jet-setting celebrity.

In closing, I have a small treat for everyone. Below is a special personal message Miss World 2013 Megan Young wrote exclusively for you, my dear readers:
