Aside from the positive interviews she has been giving in London so far, Miss World 2013 Megan Young is fast becoming the new face of the Miss World Organization in more ways than one.
It cannot be denied that Megan is benefitting a lot from her celebrity background here in the Philippines. Being used to the camera (and all its angles), talking to the camera and the constant attention from everyone, she is fully aware of the smallest details in making herself more interesting and engaging. It doesn’t stop there. Her fluid thoughts, whenever expressed in English, comes off conversation-friendly and not continuously rehearsed. What’s more, she never comes across as stilted or high-strung. If at any, she can easily be the most accessible icon of charity-oriented beauty pageants around the world – warm, sincere and full of optimism.
This is just the beginning of her journey as Miss World – a believable spokesperson who will bring the spotlight to the causes of Julia Morley in such an effortless way. And if I may say so, a one year reign just won’t be enough to fully maximize the advantages of having her wear the crown.
